Robert A. "Bob" Pietrzak, born 3/22/1936 and passed 8/13/2021.
After a long, brave fight with Parkinson's Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and kidney disease, Robert (Bob) passed peacefully at Hospice Savannah surrounded by his family.
Bob was from Pine Island, NY, and lived in Oakland, NJ until retiring in 2003 to Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Edward and Stella Pietrzak, and his son, Robert Mark.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanne; daughter, Pam Peters (Jeff Croyle); two brothers, Edward Pietrzak of Coronado, CA, and Richard (Linda) Pietrzak of Charlottesville, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
After graduation from college, he was in the U.S. Army for two years (1956-1958). As a young Civil Engineer, he was with the NY Port Authority at the time the World Trade Center Towers were being built. In 1972, he joined Burrough's Development, commercial real estate developers in northern NJ. Bob was also a leader in the community of Oakland, NJ, serving as President of the Board of Health, Chairman of the Planning Board, and President of the Republican Club. His favorite pastime was golfing at Arcola C.C. in Paramus, NJ were he also served on the Board of Directors. In retirement he enjoyed the many beautiful courses at The Landings on Skidaway Island.
A service will not be held at this time.
