I sit at a desk trying to write this obituary. Not an easy task since she just renewed her vows on Saturday, the 23rd of April.
On the 28th of April, in 1972, Robbyn D'Lynda Harding came into this world. Her mother, Jan, would nurture her to be a fighter and to care for all. Living in Abilene, TX, she would go to high school at Cooper. When the Cooper Band went to the Rose Bowl, she was there marching with them in the Rose Bowl Parade. She said that it was a fantastic experience. She never passed up a chance to watch the Rose Bowl parade on New Year's Day.
She joined the Navy, in 1990 right after high school, to travel away from Texas. She was stationed in Newport, RI with the Security Detachment. While there she would meet her future husband, Michael, that was from San Antonio, Texas. She returned to Texas to have her daughter, Elisabeth Allyson. She stayed in Abilene working for Meals on Wheels. When she moved to Ingleside to be with her husband, she started all over again. In Ingleside she would work for various firms; LK Jordon, Gulf Marine, Coflexip, Kiewit, Walter Oil and Gas. All during this time she volunteered with her husband at the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Dept. In 2008, she had her son Stephen Leigh. She would then turn her attention to becoming a medical biller and coder and would come to work with Rachel Dehn. She loved working with this group of professionals.
Robbyn found out she had Renal Cell Carcinoma, Kidney Cancer, in 2010. She fought this cancer for 12 years, and on the 27th of April, the All Father called his daughter home. She will be met there by: Richard Harding, her father; Alice G. Staton, her mother-in-law; and other family members that went before her.
Robbyn was a funny, determined, fighter, stubborn, loving and caring person who cared for ALL around her, them before her was the way she was. I know that she will be watching all of us.
She left behind, broken hearted, her Mother Jan; Brother Chris, with wife Crystal and sons Blake, Jacob and Austin; Brother Lane, with wife Jennifer and her sons Gaven and Aiden; Her Husband Michael; Daughter Elisabeth, and Son Stephen.
Your Missed Robbyn! We ALL MISS YOU!
By her wishes, Robbyn will be cremated, and Services will be forth coming.
