CRAWFORD BOWERS FUNERAL HOME
Rita Jean (Christy) Lima went to be with our Heavenly Father on August 15, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Rita was born in Oklahoma City Oklahoma on July 16, 1955. Rita graduated from Odessa College Licensed Vocational Nursing program in 1973. Her loving and compassionate care took her through many aspects of nursing. She worked full time, was a single Mom and found time to go back to Odessa College and obtain her bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1993. The last 15 years of her career she found a love for Hospice and Home Health care and taught many nurses about palliative and end of life care. She also followed her dream to teach the Home Health Aide certification class at Odessa College. She loved Nursing and she loved Heavenly Father. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since childhood.
Rita was predeceased by her parents Martha & Lloyd Hallum, brother - Roger Fouch and sister - Joyce Stockton. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joe Lima who has been by her side and given her loving care. Daughter Jenifer Kindel of Cedar Park, daughter Jessica Lerma of Temple, Stepdaughter Shanna Lima of Lago Vista, Stepson James Lima of Leander, 8 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters and several nieces and nephew. Rita loved her kids & grandkids more than Life!
Memorial services are postponed at this time due to Covid. The family appreciates all the messages, love and prayers from everyone.
