Rita A. (Janelle) Duprey, age 71, of Waterbury, died Aug 9, 2012, at Regency House of Wallingford after a long illness. She was the widow of Russell Duprey.
Rita was born Dec 14, 1941, in Lewiston, Maine, a daughter of the late William and Fernande (Saindon) Janelle, and moved from Meriden to Waterbury in 1971. She was educated in Maine.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, spending time with her grandchildren and was a communicant of SS. Peter and Paul Church.
She leaves a son, Robert Duprey, Sr. of Wallingford; a daughter, Nancy L. Rinaldi of Middlebury; a sister, Connie Angelo of East Haven; two brothers, Gerald Janelle of Auburn, Maine, William Janelle of Hamilton, Ala.; five grandchildren, Robert Duprey, Jr., Kaitlyn Duprey, Sara Rinaldi, Amanda Rinaldi, Kayla Rinaldi, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Rita will be held on Mondy at 10 a.m. from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St., to SS. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, to celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30. Rites of Committal and interment will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
