Rita R. Bartini, 87 a sixty year resident of Fairview Street in Lee, passed away early Friday morning April 2, 2021 at BMC.
Born on July 12, 1933 to John P. and Isolina L. Ranzoni, Rita graduated from Lee High School in 1951. On July 5, 1952 she married Elvin "Al" Bartini?a marriage that would thrive for over sixty eight years.
A loving stay-at-home mom while her children were young, Rita later went to work as a secretary at Mead Paper. In their retirement Rita and Al wintered in Florida and maintained very busy social lives dancing, playing cards and visiting friends. They were inseparable.
Along with her beloved husband Al, Rita is survived by their four children: Mark Bartini and his wife Colleen of Richmond; Kevin Bartini and his wife Charlene of Lee; Timothy Bartini and his wife Heather of Pittsfield; and Valerie Middleton and her husband Brian of Otis; their grandchildren: Kevin Bartini, Jr., Kristen Bartini Naffah, Hannah Bartini Casucci, Dean Bartini, Jacob Middleton and Sara Middleton; her great-grandchildren: Olivia, Lincoln, Sam and Joe.
She also leaves behind her sister Rosemary Dellea and her husband Jim; her brother John Ranzoni, Jr. and his wife Eileen; her sisters-in-law June Fromma and Carol Gangell and her husband Peck.
She was predeceased by her grandson Andrew Bartini.
Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, April 6th at Kelly Funeral Home in Lee from 4-6 pm. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following morning, Wednesday, April 7th at St. Mary's Church in Lee at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to may make a donation to the Andrew J. Bartini Memorial Scholarship Fund through Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
Face masks and social distancing will be required for the Visiting Hours. We ask that people enter through the Main Street entrance in the front of the building and exit through our parking lot door.
