Ricky Dean Smith, 74, of Dawson passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in the Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday Jan. 5, 2024 in the Sardis Baptist Church on Busby Road in Yeomans Community of Terrell County with Rev. Emil Askew officiating. The family request a private burial after service.
Mr. Smith was born on June 7, 1949, in Slocomb, AL the son of the late Glenn Horace Smith and Genolyne Dean Smith. He was a Veteran of the Alabama National Guard, a graduate of the Bay County, FL High School, retire owner and home builder with Smith Built Construction and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Askew Smith of Dawson, mother, Genolyne Dean Smith of Panama City FL., son, Todd Smith of Dothan, Al, sister, Carol (Bobby) Hicks of Chiefland, FL, brother, Terry (Dianne) Smith of Pensacola, Fl and grandson, Dylan Smith of Leesburg, faithful rescue pet Captain Jack.

Visitation will be from 1 PM until service time.
