Ricky Boyce Mosley, 66, was born on June 18, 1954, in Lockney TX to Boyce and Inez Mosley. He attended Lockney schools, graduating in 1972, and went on to attend LCU and ACU. He married Lisa Gregory in Floydada on June 22, 1974, and returned to Lockney where he and Lisa lived for 32 years and raised their family while farming and raising sheep.
He coached a wide variety of children's sports teams and was a mentor and friend to many young people. He served on several Boards of Directors including Floyd County Farm Bureau, the Lockney Coop Gin, and The Floyd County Fair.
He began a career with the US Postal Service in 1998 while still farming and worked out of the Downtown and Freedom Station Post Office in Lubbock. In 2006 Ricky and Lisa moved to Lubbock and he continued working as a Rural Mail Carrier until a week before his death.
He will be remembered as a loyal friend, a loving husband, and father, and a champion of the underdog. He stood up for what he believed in even when it was not popular, and he worked hard at everything he did. He never sought recognition and quietly lived out his faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyce Albert Mosley, and his mother, Bonnie Inez Dunavant.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; their children: Jared (Trish) Mosley of Argyle, TX; Johnnie (April) Mosley of Flower Mound; Nicole (Lee) Fletcher of Abilene; 10 grandchildren: Jaden, Jaxon, and Blair Mosley; Claire, Emma, and Daniel Mosley; and Jossalynn, Gehrig, Millie, and Hazel Fletcher.
Other survivors include his bonus sons: David (Monica) Luna; Willie (Alma) Luna; and their children: Faith, Andrew, Josiah, Zach, and E.J. along with two sisters: Susan Futch of Denton and Elaine Mosley of Plainview.
