Rick Clark, 59 of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Lakeland Spectrum
Health Care in St. Joseph, MI.
Rick was born on September 30, 1962 in Benton Harbor to Carl Clark and Jereba (Palmer)
Wasmer.
He is preceded in death by his father Carl Clark, sister Vicky Clark, and step-daughter Shanna
Warren.
On June 22, 2003 Rick happily married Rebecca (Becky) Sheets.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Becky, mother Jereba Wasmer, son Jason Clark (Mary
Collard) of Granger, IN, daughter Patricia (Aaron) Shapero of Newport News, VA, step-children
Tara Warren of South Carolina, Becki Warren of Benton Harbor, his brothers Steven Clark of
Benton Harbor, Glenn Clark of Benton Harbor, and a host of grandchildren (Dallas Lamagro,
Jessica, Summer, LJ, and JJ Clark, Adrianna, Thomas) and other relatives and friends.
Rick loved fishing. He would go fishing several times a week when weather allowed. A couple
of his favorite activities were fishing in Lake Juno and enjoying the festivities and landscape of
the city of St. Joseph, such as Lake Michigan. He was a outgoing, loving man who was always
cheerful, optimistic, and social. Rick cared deeply about his family. He spent much of his life
adamantly caring for others, mentoring, and ensuring his family was well provided for. When he
wasn't fishing, he could be found watching historic and modern automotive programs & water
sports in his favorite reclining chair. Rick loved being outdoors, doing yard work, and assisting
others with his vast automotive knowledge and skills.
Visitation for Rick will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Halbritter
Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St. Niles, MI. A formal funeral service will begin at
3:00pm at the same location with Pastor Jeff Whittaker from Michiana Christian Embassy,
officiating.
