Richard Bernell Sturgis

The end of an era: Richard (Dick) Bernell Sturgis, 88, of Henderson, NV passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2024.

Richard was born on July 15, 1936, the youngest of six children and the beloved son of Alfred Bernell and Zella Elvina Scott Sturgis in Provo, Utah.

He was predeceased by his parents, AB and Zella Sturgis, and his siblings, Margaret, LaJean, Nelma Rae, Marilyn and Alfred. He is survived by his wife Margaret Cundick Sturgis, and four children-Alyson Lee Sturgis, Jennifer Lynn Sturgis, Caroline Sue Sturgis Gammons (Chris), and Sean Richard Sturgis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren for whom he was known as PD- Zachary True, Emma Gammons, Scott Gammons, Mason Gammons, Madelyn Gammons, Summer DeLellis-Sturgis, and Savannah DeLellis-Sturgis. They were all dearly loved.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on January 4 at Revel Communities, 1525 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, NV from 1pm-3pm. Private family service will be held at Provo Cemetery in Provo, UT.

Richard was a devoted Parkinson's boxer at the Rock Steady Boxing Green Valley Gym. A
