Richard G. Phillips, of Eden Trail, died February 16, 2021, at his home. He was born March 17, 1936, in Colebrook, NH, the son of Burt and Evelyn (Holden) Phillips. Richard was a 1954 graduate of Colebrook Academy. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. He worked as a logger for Currier and for Stow Mills, retiring in 2013.
He is a member of Post 44 American Legion in Winchester, NH. He enjoyed horse pulling, sugaring, gardening and cutting firewood.
On September 26, 1987, in Grafton, VT, he married Amy Wright who survives. He is also survived by his son, Frank Phillips of NH, stepsons, Steven Fisher of Grafton, VT, Sam Fisher of Brookline, VT, and Stuart Fisher of Grafton, VT; six brothers, Stuart, Harold, Carl, Derwood, Wayne, and Michael; seven sisters, Grace, Carlene, Nancy, Donna, Doris, Sue, and Nellie: three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers, Roy, and John; and three sisters, Barbara, Ellen, and Dorothy.
Services will be held at the Houghtonville Cemetery in Grafton VT at a later date. Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT will be assisting with the arrangements.
