Richard G. Perry went home to be with the Lord on November 20th 2023 following a yearlong battle with cancer. Rick was born in Fort Fairfield on May 22, 1945, the son of the late Willard and Maxine Perry. Rick was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School. After graduation Rick went into the Air Force where he served his country proudly. After severing in the Air force Rick went into the Trucking Industry driving around the country until he retired.
In September of 1986, Rick married the love of his life Linda Calderwood Perry. Rick and Linda enjoyed serving the Lord at Grace Baptist Church in Portland Maine. Here is where Rick enjoyed driving the Sunday school bus. After retirement Rick and Linda moved to Ocala Florida where they were avid members of Memorial Baptist Church in Belleview where he was also in the Sunday school bus and Visitation Ministries. Rick enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Linda Perry of thirty seven years. His children Heidi Perry, Mark Machado, Bruce Machado, Duane LaChance, Sean LaChance, Doreen Haven, Sherrill Sidlik and Nicole Boynton, Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Rick is predeceased by his Mother and Father, Twin Brother Ronald Perry, Brother Paul Perry and Sons Richard Perry and Michael Machado.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 16th at 1pm. Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church 476 Summit Street in Portland Maine. In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be sent to the Bus Ministry at Memorial Baptist Church 3693 SE 95th Street Belleview, Florida 34480.
