New Paris - Richard "Dick" Mundy, 83, passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, at Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka.
He was born July 6, 1938, in New Castle to Robert and Mildred (Over) Mundy.
He was married to his loving wife, Betsy (Pfenninger) for 62 years.
She survives along with four daughters, Mary (Harry) Tallman, York, South Carolina, Pamela (Dennis) Kauffman, Rome City, Deb (Scott) Hurtle, Lexington, Kentucky and Ann Mundy, Sarasota, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Steve (Judy) Mundy, Columbia City and a sister-in-law, Margaret Mundy.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mundy.
Dick enjoyed attending and supporting the activities of his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. He and Betsy wintered in Ruskin, Florida for 19 years.
Other than family, church was the most important part of his life. He was an active member of Nappanee Missionary Church. In his many years of serving the Lord, he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and song leader.
Family services will be held at Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor Jason Rohde officiating.
Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Center for Hospice Care.
