Richard W. Muko Jr., 65, of Mt. Pleasant, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Mr. Muko was born Oct. 3, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Ruby Eutsey Muko and the late Richard W. Muko Sr. Rick was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1974. He worked as a mail carrier for the USPS for more than 37 years, establishing many lifelong friendships. Rick was always involved in the lives of his daughters, coaching for many years in the Mt. Pleasant softball league. He was an avid sports fan who always stayed loyal to the Pirates, Steelers, Pitt Panthers and Penn State Nittany Lions. After retirement, Rick enjoyed playing pickleball at the YMCA, doing puzzles and reading. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Diane Pavuk Muko; his loving daughters, Melissa Gotherman (Jeff), of Aldie, Va., Jessica Muko (Rick Pellick), of Belle Vernon, and Kaleigh Muko, of Monroeville; and his adoring grandchildren, Eli and Archer Gotherman and Saylor Pellick. He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah Brehun (John), of Norvelt, and Cynthia Taylor (Robert), of Connellsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Rick was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Marie, in 1998. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.
