Richard Harold Kiewitt (Dick), age 87, of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away on June 30th, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dick was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to (Harold and Gladys Kiewitt) on February 25, 1933. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School and Indiana University. He married Erbel Cory (Susie) on June 8th, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked as a Truck Lease Director for Mayflower Transit Co. for forty four years. He was a veteran of Korean war and served in the Army. Dick was a devoted husband, married to Susie for sixty (60) years, and loved his kids and Schnauzer dog named "Toots". He enjoyed bird watching, was an avid softball player, basketball player, and golfer for most of his adult life. He loved the comedy of Shelly Berman, sang to the music of Dean Martin, and always had time to watch a Clint Eastwood western movie. He was a cowboy at heart.
Dick is preceded in death by his wife Susie. Dick is survived by daughter Leigh Kiewitt, son Scott Kiewitt (Katie), sister Carol Scott (Robert) and brother Robert Kiewitt (Mary), grandchildren, Maressa Moore (Ben), Alicia Kiewitt, and Amelia Kiewitt, and great-Grandchildren, Makayla Moore, Reece Moore, and Adelyn Moore.
Private graveside "Celebration of Life" ceremony July 20th, 2020 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
