Richard E. Jimison

Richard Eugene Jimison, 93 years old, of Edwardsburg, passed to his rest July 19, 2025 at Raclin House in Mishawaka, after a brief illness. He was born Mar 2, 1932 in Culloden, W. VA, the son of William Reed Jimison and Lola Inez Lee. He retired from American Axle of Three Rivers after several years of work. He was a Veteran of the United State Marine Corps.

Richard was married Nov 29, 1953 in Elkhart to Nellie M VanDicpenbos, and she passed July 1, 2012. Surviving are their children, Carla (Don) Baker of Granger, Eugene (Linda) Jimison of Elkhart and Janice Jimison of Edwardsburg. There are 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Family who have preceded him in passing, are his parents, his beloved wife, Nellie, and a great-granddaughter, Olivia.

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM July 23, 2025 at Paul E Mayhew Funeral Home for a brief service by Pastor Tim Sheets of Northside Church of Nazarine, Elkhart. The burial will follow at Adamsville Cemetery for the final rites by his pastor and the Elkhart American Legion Marine Corps League.
