Richard Kent Foster (Lenoir City, TN) left this world on Friday, June 17th. He went on his terms, peacefully in his sleep. Born in Indianapolis, IN in 1939 to loving parents, Hazel Vivian Foster and Johnny Foster. If you ever met Kent, aka "Daddy", "Captain" or "Dick", then you had the pleasure of knowing what a character and all around wonderful human being he was. Kent went on to enlist in the United States Air Force at 18 years old, to see the world and serve his country. He later applied to OCS and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1969. He was a true patriot and served 21 yrs in the USAF where he worked in procurement for many years and retired as Captain. He was a student of life and loved reading, playing piano, jogging and walks with his beloved pups, Midge and Missy. He earned his Bachelors degree, Masters degree and went on to pursue his Ph.D. His Air Force career spanned over two decades and helped mold him into the incredible man that he became. Kent retired from the corporate world in 2010 from Anteon Corporation, in Washington DC where he worked as Subcontracts Manager over the SAFTAS contract. Kent loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel V. Foster and father, John E. Foster and beloved Uncle, Thomas Foster. He leaves behind his loving wife, Julia Clark-Foster, sister, Elaine Sue Caughman, brother, Stephen Foster (Marina), children Brad Foster, Erik Foster (Virginie), Scott Foster (Sherri), Heather Mayse (Ken), Laura Foster, Jennifer Frye (Brandon). He leaves behind 12 grandchildren; Harrison, Genevieve, Katherine, Jasmine, Troy, Owen, Wyatt, Hayden, Katelynn, Madelyn, Audrey and Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday June 22nd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Military Honors will be conferred by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard.
