Richard (Dick) M. Rosenthal passed away peacefully, Friday August 20, 2021 at the age of 83 in Camarillo, Ca. He was born December 6, 1937 in Rhame, North Dakota; son of the late Louis and Ruth Rosenthal. His family moved to Westwood, Ca in 1945. Richard graduated from University High School located in Los Angeles, Ca.
Richard was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and was stationed in Orleans, France. He was an employee of Ferro Cast Company in Santa Monica, Ca as a Production Control Manager for about 18 years and then worked as a Contract Specialist for the government retiring in 2016.
Richard met his loving wife Mary in Santa Monica, Ca. They married on Sept 4th, 1965. They were married just shy of 56 years. They made a home in Camarillo, Ca where they raised their two daughters. For a short period of time they owned and operated R&R Antiques before deciding to move on to their next business adventure, Professional Hair Studio.
Richard was a car enthusiast, he enjoyed going to car shows and the Gene Autry Museum. He was fond of watching old westerns and basketball, taking photos to document family events, and barbecuing for his family and friends. Richard was also a dependable friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Ruth Rosenthal, granddaughter Krystale Flores, and brother-in-law Kermit Purcell. Surviving are his wife Mary; two daughters, Denise Silveira (Willie) and Patrice Flores (Gabriel); four grandchildren Suzanne, Heaven, Samantha, and Zachary Silveira; two sisters, Celia Church and Suzanne Purcell and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park.
