Richard D. Cline (Dick) of Walkerton, passed away Tuesday, March 09, 2021, at Just Like Home Elderly Care in Lewisburg, OH in the loving care of staff, Hospice of Ohio, and his family. Born to Thurman (Tim) & Shirley Faye (Sprinkle) Cline on September 13th 1927 in Walkerton, Indiana, Dick was the 5th child in his family and spent nearly his entire life in Walkerton.
Dick graduated from Walkerton High School in 1945, and served in the Army after WWII. Dick worked at Studebaker in South Bend, delivered oil for Pickavet Standard Oil, drove a school bus for Walkerton School district, and happily delivered the U.S. Mail to the residents of Walkerton for 34 years.
He married Dorothy A (Dori) Kearney in 1956, and had three children. His wife Dori and son Tim precede him in death, as do two brothers, Gerald (Elsie) Cline, Max (Stephanie) Cline, and two sisters Martha Gene (Kenneth) Wilson, and Ruth (Boyce) Wilson.
Dick is survived by his daughters: Carla (Mark) Michalski, and Julie A. (Barb Felton) Cline; daughter-in-law: Julie K. (Tim) Cline; grandsons: Ryan (Whitney) Michalski, Eric Michalski, Kyle (Laura) Cline, Kayne (Kristen) Cline; great grandchildren: Kentin, Keygan, and Oakley Cline; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced in the future.
