Richard F. Crooke, (81), of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on February 5, 2024.
Richard, fondly known as Dick, was born to Foster and Betty (Scheuer) Crooke, on January 24, 1943, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Dick graduated with an Engineering Degree from Western New England College and continued working in the engineering industry until his retirement. He also served on the Boilermaker Pension Fund Board throughout his career. He was a brilliant and astute engineer and designed and built power plants and multiple houses throughout his life. Aside from his love of studying and crafting the perfect pizza crust, Dick was a dedicated and loving husband, father, brother, and friend.
Dick is survived by his wife Bonny and three children, Kelly, Sandy, and Erin; son-in-law Greg Lietza (Kelly's husband); granddaughter Cassidy; great granddaughter Camila; his brother, Kenneth Crooke and wife Chris; niece Holly (Andrew) Crooke, and nephew Travis Crooke, sister-in-law Jean Bishop, and nieces Cathy (Rodriguez) Bishop, Marguarite (Bartlett) Bishop and Barbara Bishop. Dick was predeceased by his parents, Foster and Betty, along with his dearest friend and brother-in-law, Leonard James Bishop II.
Dick's family will host a celebration of life service on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at Callahan Edfast Mortuary & Crematory in Grand Junction.
