ATHOL- Richard P. "Dick" Bernier, 76, died August 25, 2021.
Born in Gardner on October 1, 1944, he was the son of Joseph and Mae (Buckly) Bernier.
Richard was married to Priscilla (Jean) on November 30, 1968.
Richard worked as a supervisor at Geo. Bent, as well as Nichols & Stone and Moduform, all of Gardner.
Richard is survived by wife, Priscilla Bernier of Athol; his children, Sherry Adams (John Peeler) of Athol, Richard Bernier of Orange and Christina Bernier (always family). He also leaves behind grandchildren, Ashley Adams and Victoria Adams, both of Athol; a brother, Joseph Bernier of North Carolina; sister in law, Linda O'Brien of Tamarac, Florida; brothers in law, Brian Rich of Templeton and Roland Jean (Rita) of Wendell; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by sisters, Naomi Ferris, Shirley Plouffe, Elizabeth Cariglia and Linda Rich, as well as a brother in law, Thomas O'Brien of Tamarac, Florida and father in law, Leopold Jean.
Calling hours September 11, 2021 from 9:30- 11 a.m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
