Rhoda Ann Goins Guidry passed away peacefully, after a long battle with cancer on September 23, 2021, at the age of 67. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans and retired in 2015 from Peoples Health Insurance.
Beloved mother of Ne'Taki (John), Taisan, and Eian (Krissy), along with her niece and nephew Chantel and Jason that she lovingly raised as her own. She was the affectionate grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Rhoda leaves many memories to cherish to her two sisters: Jaifini Rahim and Chaleta Cooper and 2 brothers: Albert Bass and Dean Davis Jr. along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by her mother Cecilia Goins Bass and siblings Rhonda B. Brown, and Ricardo Goins.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service honoring Rhoda's life and legacy at St. David Catholic Church, 5617 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117 on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 am.
