Reverend Alberta McEachin, 84, was the former pastor of the Philadelphia Church of God in Christ, located in Amityville, New York, where she also sang and played the organ. Her evangelist ministry included Community Outreach, Youth Ministry, Quartet Gospel Promotions, and Sunday Morning Gospel Radio on WBAB- Babylon, NY. In North Carolina, little 'Bert' attended Lumberton Public Schools, and would grow up to later find the love of her life, Vernon McEachin.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Reverend Alberta McEachin name to the Dementia Society of America.
