Rev. Walter "Buster" Youngblood, Jr, beloved husband of Mrs. Dudley Youngblood, of Beech Island, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory "PeePie" Youngblood, a daughter, Tammy Rutland, and a grandson, David Youngblood.
The family will greet friends beginning at 2 o'clock, Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the chapel at 3 o'clock. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Holley, Richard Lance, and Gene Garland.

Rev. Youngblood was born in Windsor, SC to the late Walter Youngblood, Sr. and Ethel Beck Youngblood. Rev. Youngblood, proudly and with honor, served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served as a pastor for forty-two years in various churches in South Carolina. He began his ministry at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Williston, SC, and then to Southside Baptist Church, Gloverville, SC, eleven years serving the Saluda River Bible Hour, pastor of Gloverville First Baptist Church, and he retired and attended Beech Island First Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory with his wife are his children: Lisa Y. Lewis and Wayne Jones, both of Beech Island, SC; a brother, Lenwood W. Youngblood (Nita), of North Augusta, SC; seven grandchildren: Brandi Hutto (Shawn), Nicole Jones, Paige Fields (Chad), Kevin Youngblood, Cole Lewis, Josh Harris (Tara), and Cody Jones (Marissa) and great-grandchildren: Jordan Thomas, Paiton Hutto, Courtney Youngblood, Cambriegh Jones, Haley Harris, Isabella Harris, Drake Hutto, Trevor Youngblood, Ian Youngblood, Eli Fields, Silas Fields, and Landon Jones.
