Rebecca S. "Becky" Pate, a retired manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, died on July 26 at the age of 72.
A native of El Dorado, Arkansas, Becky earned B.A. and M.F.A. degrees from Southern Methodist University. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Dallas, where she was active in many phases of parish life, including Altar Guild, Usher Ministry and St. Elizabeth Guild, which she chaired.
Her community service included volunteering at the nonprofit White Rock Center of Hope retail store in East Dallas and at the George W. Bush Presidential Library on the SMU campus.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Russ; her brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Terry Smith; brother-in-law and wife Ridge and Jeanie Pate; nieces Natalie Smith and Michelle Smith; grandnephews Sean Davis and Connor Davis; cousins Judd Stiff, Elizabeth Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Jim Bryant, Bob Bryant and Nancy Cheatham.
A memorial service will take place at St. James Episcopal, located at 9845 McCree Rd. in Lake Highlands, on Saturday, August 14 at 11am.
