Entered Eternal Life on July 28, 2021 at the age of 89. Resident of Milwaukee. Beloved son of the late Louis C. and Mary (nee McWilliams) Pfarr. Loving husband of the late Judith "Judie" (nee Auchter) Pfarr. Cherished father of Joan "Jody" (James S.) Anderson and Martha P. (Stephen M.) Cushman. Proud grandfather "Gupp" of Parker J. and Celia F. Anderson and Margaret A., Christian J. and Georgea M. Cushman. Dear brother of the late Mary Lou (Harold N.) Heinz, and of the late Paul A. Pfarr, M.D. Further survived by his special friend and longtime associate, Michael MacKedon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
Ray entered the life insurance business in 1961 as a representative of Old Line Life and serving a wide range of customers. He was a graduate of Marquette University High School 1951 and Marquette University 1959. Ray served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean conflict. He was a passionate Lake Michigan sailor, competing in numerous Mackinac races as well as sailing for pleasure with his family on his Ensign. He was a lifelong active member of St. Monica Congregation graduating from its grade school in 1947. Ray was especially grateful for and supportive of the Jesuit Community of Milwaukee. His love for family, thoughtfulness for other people and his strong faith were always his top priority. Ray will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Milwaukee Catholic Home and the team at Horizon Health Care whose care and comfort were deeply appreciated.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 5601 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay (Parking lot will be closed, please use Silver Spring Dr, Santa Monica Blvd, or Dominican High School for parking) followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials in Raymond's name may be made to St. Monica School Fund, 5635 N.
