Raymond John "Ray" Frisch
FRISCH, Raymond John, "Ray", age 95, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Ray was born May 23, 1927, in Tiffin, Ohio, to William J. and Cecelia L. Frisch (nee Reinhart), the youngest of four children.
At the age of eighteen, Ray answered the call of duty and served with distinction in the United States Army Air Forces during the Second World War, until his honorable discharge in 1946. After his military service, Ray married the love of his life, Delores V. "Del" Frisch (nee Frank) on August 7, 1948, in New Cleveland, Ohio. Ray later moved to Ottawa, Ohio where he worked for the Ottawa Oil Company until his retirement in 1989.
Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed a wide array of interests including, vehicle racing, domestic and international travel, buying and selling cars, playing card games, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, yardwork, and building houses. Ray was lifelong devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Helen Rose (Walter) Holmer, Mildred H. (Howard) Bollinger, and Gerald F. (Helen) Frisch. His is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Del; his daughters, Margorie A. "Marge" Frisch, and Sandra K. "Sandy" (Charles) Stanton; and his grandchildren, Cody A. Stanton, and Courtney L. (Alexander) Montgomery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay, Ohio 45840, with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld presiding. The service will include military honors performed by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Visitation will be one hour prior (9:00 - 10:00 a.m.) to Mass. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael the Archangel Parish or Bridge Home Health & Hospice. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will be in Seneca Memory Gardens at a later date.
