Raymond Henry Breuers, 70, of East Haven, CT passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife Janis Lee (Bramble) Breuers. He was the son of the late Ferdinand and Betty-Jean (Martin) Breuers. He grew up in Old Saybrook before moving to Clinton where he graduated from The Morgan School. Ray worked for many years at Chesebrough Ponds/Unilever before retiring in 1987. He met his wife there and they had many years of happiness together along with his new family of five children. He enjoyed sitting at the beach listening to the waves, reading, watching baseball, and playing Words With friends. He was a member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Ray had many obstacles and challenges during his life but demonstrated true courage in his ability to face them. He is survived by his five stepchildren, Deborah Meehan of Branford, Pamela Onofreo and her husband Anthony of Middlefield, Melissa Moore of Chappaqua, NY, Wendy Sousa and her husband Paul of Las Vegas, NV, and Brian Moore and his wife Betty of Westbrook. He is also survived by a sister Betty Grenier of Mississippi, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Everett, and a sister, Margaret Molyneaux. Arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Ray's name to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, or the Yale New Haven Hospital Intensive Care Unit who treated him kindly, compassionately, and with the dignity he so deserved.
