Raymond Ambrose Bertrand, Jr. passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at the age of 88 years. He was born October 11, 1933 to Raymond and Alberta Hebert Bertrand in Kankakee, Illinois. Ray "Bud", as he was called by family, married Mary Cryer on April 18, 1953, at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee, Illinois.
Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4th, St. Jude Catholic Church, 500 E. Dallas St., Mansfield, TX 76068, with an interment following at 2:30 p.m. at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Ray was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd and 4th degree, Council 10208, and assembly 2316. He was awarded plagues for Knight of the Month and Knight of the year, he was a Korean War veteran, over the road truck driver for 40 years, and a volunteer tax preparer for AARP Seniors. Ray loved to play cards and was a bowler for many years. He will be missed dearly.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta and Ray. Sr.; sister-in-laws, Kay and Carol Ivey; son-in-law, Gilbert Tovar; brothers-in-laws, Jim, Len, Norm, Pete, Joe, and Mike Cryer; mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Oley Cryer.
He is survived by; Five children, daughter, Diane Tovar, of Daingerfield, Texas; sons, Roger and wife Hong, of Arlington, Texas, Bill and wife Gail, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Raymond III and wife Rhonda, of Lubbock, Texas, Tom and wife Tammy, of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Jerry and wife Cathy, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Jim and wife Claudia, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, John and wife Barbara, of Escondido, California, Bob, of Clifton, Illinois; 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; aunt, Marge Guimond, of Clifton, Illinois; and many other relatives and dear friends.
