Ray Tiller, age 85, passed away on April 20, 2022. He was born in Norris, Tennessee. Ray was a caring and fun-loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always making everyone laugh. There was never a dull moment when you were with him.
Ray played football at Rockwood High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and co-oped at Union Carbide during his time at UT. Later he went on to work at Pratt and Whitney for 30 years. He worked on F-14 and F-16 fighter plane engines during his time there.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Agnes Tiller and sister Sandy Edwards and his best four-legged friend, Buddy. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judy, his brother David, his daughter Terri and her husband David Haecker, and his son Mike and wife Ada Tiller. Judy and Ray have five grandchildren - Kevin, Ryan, Meghan, Christopher and Katie and two great grandchildren - Fergus and Kent.
Ray and Judy retired to Marble Falls in 1993 and loved life on LBJ. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls and felt very blessed to be welcomed into such a wonderful and caring community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: St. Jude's Children Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
