Ray G. Noseff
Join us in celebrating Ray—please share your stories and photos, and help spread the word about this page!
On July 9, 1951, Ray Gene Noseff was born to the late V. N. and Opal Noseff in Hobbs, New Mexico. He passed from complications of liver disease in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, December 28, 2020.
Ray attended Broadmoor Elementary, Highland Junior High, and graduated from Hobbs High School in 1970. Two weeks prior to being shipped out, he married Debbie Miller on August 13, 1971. He served in the Army as a Sergeant in a Mortar crew during the Vietnam War.
Ray worked for many years for Enron until a workplace injury forced him into an early retirement. This early exit from the workforce presented him with the extra time to work on restoration of his cars, especially the 1956 Chevrolet Bel Aire, which was his passion. He also had time to watch his grandchildren grow up to be independent and loving adults, just like his girls, of whom he was very proud. He enjoyed watching Kailan play high school, and college football, Kenedi run track, Jacius box, Jherica run cross country, and Kortney practice her beautician skills on him. But there was no one who could light up his eyes like his great-grandson, Jonah.
Loving survivors include his wife, Debbie Noseff; their daughters, Nicole Noseff and Lisa Noseff, both of Lubbock, Texas; his grandchildren Kortney and husband Chris Armitige of Hobbs, NM, Kailan who is attending the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio on a football scholarship, Kenedi and Jacius of Lubbock and Jherica and Jonah of Dallas, Texas; and his brother John Noseff of Krum, Texas.
Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Ray was always ready to help anyone with a need, and in that spirit, his family suggests contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory.
The family invites you to celebrate Ray's life of 69 years at 2:00 on Saturday, January 23, 2001, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. In support of the health of everyone, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.
