Ray was born October 2, 1926 in USA, and died March 12, 2009 in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, USA. He was born and raised in Robbinsville , NC. He served in the Air Force during WWII. Ray was a lifetime member of the Elks Club and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dalton, Ga. He was a University of Tennessee graduate where he received his degree in Poultry of Science. After college, he began working for Strain Poultry in Dalton, Ga. He worked there 3 months shy of 50 years. Ray married Ruth Hughes in 1962 at East Lake Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tn. They met at an Arthur Murry Dance Studio. His mother, Lydia Burns Holloway lived with them until her death in 1975. Micheal Joseph Holloway, Steven Randall Holloway and Karin Elizabeth Holloway Ward are their children. Megan Wiley Shook, Samantha Elise Ward and JJ Ward are his grandchildren. Ray is buried in United Memorial Gardens in Dalton, Georgia, USA.
