Help us celebrate Randy! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Randy.
Randy "Rupert" Rabehl, 64, of Oshkosh and formally of Fox Lake passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Rupert's last day on this earth was "Keepin it Reel" on the lake doing what he loves, fishing.
Randy was born to Kenny "Rebel" and Joanne (Borth) Rabehl on March 26, 1960 in Beaver Dam. He was proud to take over the family business from his father becoming owner and operator of Fox Manufacturing in Fox Lake until his retirement just a few short years ago. Randy married the love of his life Arlene on November 30, 2019.
Randy had a heart of gold and was the most loyal dad and friend anyone could ask for. He always made sure to have fun in whatever he was doing. Rupert loved life whether it was taking his treasured 442 to car shows, visiting local establishments for a good steak and Old Fashioned, or "Keepin it Reel" on his boat on Lake Michigan. Fishing was more than a passion for Randy.
Randy is survived by his wife Arlene (Chavaria), his children: Brody Rabehl, Cassandra (Zachary) Scheiber, Joseph (Jamie) Elam, Nicole (Willy) Elam, Vanessa (J.J.) Arra, and Cherry Arra; grandchildren: Kylie, Collin, Cameron, and Addisyn; his siblings: Sherri Garcia and Chuck (Cheri) Rabehl; Uncle William (Eileen) Borth; his go to guy Jerry Farley; and the best fishing buddies Doug (Julio) Hammes and Brock Schmidt. . He was also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A time of gathering for Randy will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing Randy was where he wanted to be, surrounded by nature, rod in hand, chasing the next big catch. May the waters always be calm, the fish always biting and the sunsets always be golden!! Tight lines forever...Rupert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clausen Park Project in Fox Lake.
Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
