Ramona Brower was born in Parker Idaho on December 19, 1936. She was the eighth child born to Thomas Taylor Brower and Adria Andrus. Her mother died when she was two years old leaving her to be raised by her father and several older siblings. She lived in various places including Parker, Pocatello, and Mackey to name a few. When she was twelve years old, she made a permanent move. She moved in with her sister Fern and her husband Keith Grover. She graduated from South Fremont High and attended Ricks College.
Ramona and her high school sweetheart, Max Romrell, were married on September 2, 1955 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Logan for a time to further Max's education. In 1959 they purchased a piece of property owned by Max's grandfather, Fred Romrell, in Wilford, Idaho where they raised their five children. In 1970 they moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a year where Max received his Master's in Math.
Ramona was active in the community and her church. She loved working with the youth in several different capacities including road shows, music, speech, camp, and her favorite?dancing. She was a PTA president, a long-time member of the Melodaires, she was instrumental in facilitating the 24 of July play for several years, was an accomplished artist, led the Sugar Salem Drill team for years. She worked as a paraprofessional at Sugar Salem High School. In their later years her and Max served nine missions (four of which were foreign) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Ramona is survived by her husband, Max D Romrell; children, Linn Hawkins (Stan); Shari Mason (Doug); Cory Romrell (Fawn); Eric Romrell (Gina); 16 Grandchildren; 31 Great grandchildren; 1 Great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas Taylor Brower and Adria Andrus; Daughter, Wendy Romrell and Great Grandson Caleb Romrell. Siblings: Loren Brower (LuJean); Neta Nash (Nick); Cyril Brower (Odessa); Fern Grover (Keith); June Havner (Leslie): Zenniff Brower (Virginia).
A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Wilford LDS Chapel. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 2 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. both times at the Wilford church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
