Ramona Marie Brodland made her journey to heaven on March 18, 2022. She left this earth surrounded by the love and kindness of her family at her home in Lake Stevens. Ramona was Born December 2, 1935, in Mount Vernon, WA. She married the love of her life, George Harlan Brodland on February 9, 1957 and they began their life as husband and wife. Together they created a wonderful family and were loved and admired by all. Ramona and George were married for 53 years until his passing in 2010.
Ramona worked for Shoreline School District for 30 years and retired in 1995. After retiring she and George enjoyed traveling the US in their RV and loved to winter at their home in Yuma, Arizona. She was a member of the Garden Club and was very active at the Lake Stevens Senior Center. Ramona loved gardening, camping, reading and both cooking and watching cooking shows. Ramona never missed an opportunity to watch over her grandchildren and loved to watch them play.
Ramona is survived by her son Loren (Louise) Brodland, daughter Kristi Robbins, and daughter Susan (Dana) Jordan; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, her brothers Jerald and Del Fox and her sister Kaye (Fox) Bradley.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents Irving and Marie Fox, her husband George Brodland and her brother Claude Fox.
Ramona Brodland was a strong, independent woman and definitely knew her own mind. Her easy smile, sharp wit and acceptance of all will be missed by all whose life she touched.
