Ralph "Abe" Lincoln White, 63, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on May 15, 2023. Abe was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 16, 1959 and was the eldest of five children to Ralph Lee White and Graciela White. Abe graduated from Oakland High School and Middle Tennessee State University. A lifelong musician, Abe became one of the most sought-after bassists on the Nashville Blues and Rock scene having performed with notable artists such as Larry Colton, Randy Brecker, Acoustic Alchemy, Hal Ketchum, Vince Gill, Amanda Williams, Keith Anderson, David Ball, The Nevelle Brothers, Warren Hayes, Big House, The Paramours, Johnny Sansone, The Nationals with Jack Pearson and William Howse and Zak Wylde. Abe was an avid fan of UT football and spent years as a golf instructor in Fort Myers, Florida. Abe is survived by his mother Graciela, brothers Tom, Andrew, and Patrick White, and sister Lea Bryant. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dr. Ralph Lee White scholarship fund care of the Sweetwater High School, 414 S. High St., Sweetwater, TN 37874.
