It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of Rainer G Schmeichel. Rainer, 82 of Spring Hill Florida passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1938 in Bielefeld Germany to Dietrich and Herta Schmeichel. He is survived by Helga Roman, his son Peter, his daughter in law Jutta and granddaughter Nicollette. Rainer was a devoted family man. Always putting the family needs before his own. Professionally Rainer was an accomplished engineer in the biomedical field. He was an innovator in the field with many patients. Rainer was an animal lover. At a young age he was surrounded with a variety of pets. He had many dogs, mostly, German Shepard's but recently a miniature Pincher named Otis. He was very passionate with competitive racing pigeons. He also enjoyed flying model airplanes that he built. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 5:30 PM on June 1, 2021 at the funeral home.
