Rachel Elaine Cape, 76, died June 16, 2023.
A native of Farmington, GA, Elaine was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Anabel Lay Dawson. She began a thirty-eight year banking career with C&S Bank and later with Oconee State Bank where she retired in 2004 as Senior Vice President. She was a charter member of Watkinsville Memorial Baptist (now Revival Baptist) Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Oconee Chapel.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, John T. "Tommy" Cape, and other extended family members and church family.
