Priscilla M. Twombly Foss, age 77, passed away at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH on Friday, May 3, 2024.
A nearly life-long resident of Deerfield, Priscilla was born in Deerfield on June 23, 1946 and grew up on the family farm where she enjoyed many happy years. She loved all animals, and at one time had a pet raccoon.
She was the daughter of Waldo H. Twombly, Sr. and Beatrice A. (Smith) Twombly, and the youngest of their nine children.
As a young girl, she attended George B. White School in Deerfield and graduated from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, Northwood, NH, Class of 1964.
She began her working days in Concord, NH for Sprague Electric. Later she worked and was part-owner of the family business, The Blue Bowl Store in Deerfield. Later she worked for the Auburn, NH Post Office as a rural carrier, retiring in 2012.
She is predeceased by six of her siblings -- Everett, Elinor, Lawrence, Elizabeth, Alice and David. She is survived by her only child, James E. Foss, Jr. and her brother, Waldo H. Iwombly, Jr. and her sister, Edith N. Kimball -- also many extended family members and friends.
Services will be held private by the family.
