Polly W. Fry, 94, of Millersburg, formerly of Yoder, KS and Fairview, MI, passed away at 12:38 am on Wednesday, November 18, at Strawberry Fields Greenhouse Village, Goshen, after a brief illness. She was born on November 12, 1926 in Yoder, KS to William D. and Susie J. (Yoder) Yoder. On October 7, 1948 in Yoder, KS she married Ora Floyd Fry, he passed away January 6, 2002. Surviving are daughter, Sherry Lee Troyer of Millersburg; son-in-law, Galen (Diane) Friesen of Grand Rapids, MI; four grandchildren, Chad (Krista) Friesen, Amber (Nate) Bishop, Nicholas (Holly) Troyer and Keith (Jessica) Troyer; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, William (Lora) Yoder of New Paris, David (Ida) Yoder of Shipshewana, Merle (Ottie) Yoder of Castalian Springs, TN; sister, Ruby (Elmer) Byler of Millersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Esther Anna Friesen; brothers, Daniel, Joseph, Herman, Amos, Perry, Ora, Felty, Elmer and Albert; sisters, Katie Cross, Sadie Yoder, Betsy Fry, Clara Slabach, Susanna Keim, Anna Fry, Vera Miller and Edna Miller. Polly was a homemaker and had attended Yoder Mennonite Church and Fairview Mennonite Church. She had the gift of hospitality. She loved tending to her flower gardens, especially her roses and was gifted at piecing and quilting quilts, crochets and embroidery. She had volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, in the Women's Sewing Circle and at different relief sales. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday November 21, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday November 23, at Yoder Mennonite Cemetery, Yoder, KS. Services will be conducted by Pastor Dale Kauffman. The family and funeral home has requested that face coverings and social distancing be observed at all of the services. Memorials may be given to Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale or Northern Michigan Relief Sale. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
