Phyllis J. (Voss) Schultz passed away on September 4th, 2022 in Largo, FL. Born and raised with her two sisters, Lorraine and Vivian, in Grand Rapids, MI she moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1960, living through the years in Clearwater, Belleair, Largo, Seminole and Treasure Island. She had a lifelong love of music and singing and learned to play the accordion in her youth. In the 1960s and 70s she was active in the Largo Footlight Theater and the Pride of Pinellas Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed singing in church choirs at St. John's Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach and Blessed Sacrament in Seminole. She also entertained residents of local nursing homes and ALFs as the "Gal" in the "Two Guys and a Gal" group. She worked for a time as a realtor. She was a school teacher in the Title One Program in several local elementary schools. She also owned PJ's Sunchaser on John's Pass Boardwalk in Madeira Beach, and worked as a Crossing Guard for Pinellas County Schools. She volunteered for many causes including 10 years for Hospice, and was active in the Small Christian Community, Rosary and Ava Maria Guild of Blessed Sacrament. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Lawrence "Skip" E. Voss Jr. (Roberta) and Michael F. Voss; grandchildren, Neil D. Voss (Quirine) and Joel L. Voss (Katherina); five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Charles Schultz, and her grandson, Zann M. Bagdonas-Voss. A Memorial Mass will be held for Phyllis 10am September 27th, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11565 66th Ave N, Seminole, FL 33772 with a graveside to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774.
