Phyllis Ann Frost - age 85, of Blaine went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 9, 2022, with her family gathered around her. She was a faithful member of Block Springs Baptist Church. She graduated from Carter High School in 1954, and was a majorette with the marching band. She was a wonderful cook and loved to feed her neighbors. She had a huge heart for others and was loved by everyone she met. If you had the privilege to talk to Phyllis, you probably heard her share her testimony and recite her most famous line, "You have to have faith." She was a retired co-owner of Blaine IGA and Blaine Exxon. She took joy in talking to her customers and getting to know them personally. Phyllis loved her family, her friends, her church and her community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will not be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Bruce "Red" Smith; stepmother, Hazel Smith; infant brother, Bruce Edison Smith, Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vaughn and Josephine Frost. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jimmie Frost. Also survived by her children, Jackie (Jackie) Walker, Jodie (Steve) Roach, Jennie (Rick) Blanken, and Jay (Diane) Frost; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jerry) Cunningham, Gabe (Amy) Walker, Julie (Daniel) Gray, Zach (Amber) Roach, Bo (Chandra) Blanken, Staci (Jordan) Cruze, A.J. (Jessica) Frost, and Mackenzie Frost; great grandchildren, Jordin (Nick) Priestley, Eli and Cassie Walker, Tucker, Cooper, and Hope Gray, Presley and Pacey Roach, Sloane Blanken, Cole and Kylie Cruze, and Fisher Frost; great-great grandson to be born soon, Baby Priestley; special nephews, Greg (Becky) Corum and Gerald (Kathy) Corum; cousin, Bill (Nedra) Hargus and caregiver, Sherry Bailey. The family received friends 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Gabe Walker and Pastor Wayne Peace officiating. The service may be viewed securely on the Bridges Funeral Home website. Family and friends met 12:30 PM on Sunday at Bridges Funeral Home and went in procession to Block Springs Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment.
