Phyllis A. (Essick) Condon, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, December 5, 2024 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Bargersville and a former resident of Ft. Myers, Florida.
Phyllis was born in Indianapolis on January 21, 1936, to her parents, the late Charles and Zona (Zimmerman) Essick. She married Donald D. Condon on June 25, 1952 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2020 after 67 loving and devoted years of marriage. Phyllis was a loving wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She worked alongside her husband during the 1990's when they owned and operated the Morgantown Hardware Store.
Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her husband, fishing and playing computer games. She was a fan of the Hallmark Channel and enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Daniel (Anna Jo) Condon of Trafalgar, Damon (Linda) Condon of Jamesville, WI and Debbie (Randy) Nichalson of Bargersville; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Skip" Essick; and a grandson, Jason Miller.
Daniel Condon will conduct a funeral service on Monday, December 9th at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
