Phyllis Arlene Billman, 90, Wakarusa, died 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her home. She was born April 23, 1931, in St. Joseph County, to John & Audrey (Berkey) Laidig. On October 29, 1949, she married Richard Charles Billman in St. Joseph County and he died June 6, 1995.
Surviving are children, Rick (Cathy) Billman, Goshen, Greg (Janet) Billman, Brownsburg, Patti (Don Richmond) Aller, Wakarusa, Jane (Richard) Phillips, Richmond, Virginia, Anne (Timothy) Reece, Wakarusa, 10 grandchildren, Shannon (Russ) Davis, Travis (Kristen) Billman, Laura (Chad) Hibbard, Ashley (Matt) Keck, Emily (Jake Jensen) Billman, Jessica Crew, Andrew (Nicole) Phillips, Luke (Jennifer) Phillips, Tim Reece II, Hunter (Melissa) Reece, 20 great-grandchildren, brother, Dwight (Sandy) Laidig, Plymouth, sisters-in-law, Jo Laidig, Mishawaka and Sonja Laidig, Mishawaka.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and siblings, Stanley, Duane & Jonathan Laidig.
Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and was a prayer warrior for everyone but especially her family.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. all at the Bible Baptist Church, 205 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor David Harper will officiate. Burial will be at Olive (West) Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to BBN Radio Station - Bible Broadcasting Network, P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241.
