Phillip A. Turner, age 70 of Cadillac, passed away June 19, 2021 at his home.
Phillip was born July 1, 1950 in Cadillac to Albert and Sarah (Brown) Turner.
He was a graduate of Lake City High School and a veteran of the US Army.
Phillip loved his wife dearly. He had a great sense of humor and told great stories. He enjoyed family gatherings with food and guitar playing. He would sing song lyrics when the conversation matched a song.
Phillip enjoyed the woods and water, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed antique cars and bought one to restore. He spent time gathering wood from the forest to make rustic furniture and birdhouses.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Linda and five daughters: Angela (William) Engler of Lake City, Joanna (Chad) Ulrich of Arizona, Phyllis Kohvakka of Farwell, Audrey (Vince) Bettinelli of Arizona and Pennie Cates of Lake City, fifteen grandchildren: Anthony Jones,27, Shawn Janick, 19, David Engler,13, Maria Engler, 11, Tyler Johnson, 27, Cory Kohvakka Jr.,23, Alexys Kohvakka, 21, Christine Walker, 26, Eric VonHoldt, 16, Matteo Bettinelli,7, Owen Bartholomew,15, Conner Bartholomew, 14, Piper Bartholomew,10, Andrea Bartholomew, 9, and Ryan Bartholomew,6, and three great grandchildren: Cory Kohvakka III, 6, Sarah Kohvakka, 1, and Henry Haskell, 1. He is also survived by a sister: Trudy (Kim) Leonard of South Boardman.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents a sister Pearl Carr and a brother Patrick Turner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
