Phillip Elwood Scott, age 70 of the Tellico Village Community, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at his home. Phil was born to the late Thomas and Bobbie (Robinson) Scott in Moline, IL. He was a proud veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. Phil moved to Michigan in 1992 and lived in Monroe and then Woodhaven. He was a member of the American Legion of Trenton, MI and more recently the Tellico Lake Post 256. Phil was a member of the Trenton-Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #8 having served as the Worshipful Master in 2008. During his work career Phil was a member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 25 in Rock Island, IL. Later he transferred to Pipefitters Local 636 in Detroit, Michigan for 27 years. His last work assignment was with Trenton Engine, a branch of Chrysler in Trenton, Michigan. He and wife Sharon relocated to E. Tennessee and found an active lifestyle in retirement. Phil was a member of the Community Church at Tellico Village. Wanting to stay busy and involved, he enjoyed playing softball, pickleball, golf, and working in his yard. He and wife Sharon looked forward to their weekly Friday nights where they listened to live music and danced the night away with their close friends, Bill and Lois. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Necia Ries and brother-in-law, Jack Ries. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sharon Ann (Reaume) Scott; daughters, Kaylie Bradshaw, Jennifer (Nick) Bull and Tracy Kolb; son, Jason (Kay) Fix; grandchildren, Chaisten Bradshaw, Kaiden Miller, Koen Fleming, Brady Kolb, Aria Fix and Aeva Fix; brother, Thomas (Ora) Scott; brothers-in-law, Arnold (Jan) Reaume, Larry (Cathy) Reaume, Kelvin (Billie) Reaume and Ralph (Shelly) Reaume; and several nieces and nephews. Services honoring and remembering Phil Scott were held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8th, in the McGill Click Chapel. Rev. Hannah Perry officiated. Military honors were provided by the US Marine Corps and the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
