Phillip Russell Mossbarger, 70, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 6:09 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Adena Pike Medical Center, Waverly, Ohio.
Phillip was born November 26, 1951 in Bainbridge, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert Russell Mossbarger and Mildred "Pauline" (Murfin) Mossbarger. On June 23, 1979, he was united in marriage to Bonnie (Blair) Mossbarger, who survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Brittany Mossbarger, Sheila (Jody) Hayslip and Karyn (Bob) Detty, four grandchildren, Harley, Jacob, Maggie and Lilly, brother, Mike "Randy" Myers, and nieces and nephews, Matt Myers, Sherilynn Myers and Lisa Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Myers and sister, Lydia Lamb.
Phillip was a retired machinist at Mills Pride. He loved riding his Harley, shooting his guns, listening to classic rock, reading Stephen King and talking to anyone who had the time to listen.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastors Larry Moore and Bob Detty officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 142 honor guard.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
