Phillip Brooke Livesay passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at the age of 78 years. He was born on January 29, 1942 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Ralph B. and Mildred Boone Livesay. Phil spent his childhood in Tarboro and on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was a Special Transportation Systems Owner/Operator with Mayflower Transit and retired from Lazarus Department Store. He especially enjoyed his work at the Zionsville Lion's Club building for the past several years. Phil was an Elder at First Community Church and a past Boone County 4-H project leader. His wife of 30 years, Rebecca L. Livesay, and their children survive him: Rachel (Kenny) Updike, Austin and Jacob. Also surviving are sons: Phillip (Renee), Borden and David (Ellen), grandsons; Joseph and Robert and sisters; Betty (Sidney) Newberry, Dena (John) Toffaletti, and Sherry (Glenda) Livesay. In addition to his parents, his granddaughter, Sadie Marie Updike, preceded Phil in death. Private Family Funeral Services will be on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care in Zionsville, with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating. Interment will follow in North Carolina. Memorial contributions in Phil's memory may be made to First Community Church, 701 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052. Arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care of Zionsville.
