Phillip George Lansing, 87 of Peru, MA, passed away November 13, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Westfield, MA on February 8, 1935 to Harold and Hazel Endress Lansing. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Lansing married the former Ellen C. DuCharme on June 23, 2012.
He was the owner and operator of Sunrise Express Trucking and Transportation.
In his younger years he enjoyed racing cars as "Phil Gnisnal".
Mr. Lansing is survived by his wife, Ellen Lansing of Peru. Children, Joy A. Pehl and husband Rich of Enfield, CT, Linda L. Goulet of North Granby, CT, Phillip G. Lansing, Jr., of South NewFane, VT, and Mark A. Lansing and wife Beth of Chester, MA. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His siblings, Leona Lansing of AZ and Minton Jeffrey of VT. He was predeceased by his brother Skeeter Lansing and grandson Gary Sokoloski, Jr.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in the Spring in Granby, CT.
