Philip F. Drach of Lafayette Hill, PA entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 92.
Philip was born in Philadelphia and was a long-time resident of Cheltenham, PA. He was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary Cecelia (nee O’Connell) Drach. Dear brother of Joseph (Pat) of Gainesville, FL and the late John and James Drach and Madeleine Moretti.
He will be sadly missed by his very dear friend, Harry Collier, extended family and many friends.
Phil attended LaSalle College High School and graduated in 1947. He enjoyed going to the Golden Explorers’ gatherings. He was a loyal fan of the school’s football team and attended as many games as he could.
Philip proudly served his country and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the United States Army where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was also an Eagle Scout.
Phil had many interests. He was an avid tennis player. He liked playing bridge with his friends and looked forward to their weekly games. He loved live theatre and over the years performed in several local productions, including “Plays for Living” with Suzanne Roberts.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church at 10:30 a.m. Internment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA
Contributions may be made in his memory to Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, 1600 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
