Mansfield, CT: Dr. Philip J. DiGregorio, 60, passed away on Monday, July 4th, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Worcester the son of the late William H. and Madelyn L. (LaForce) DiGregorio. He leaves his son, Lucas; his two brothers, Dr. William DiGregorio of Wales and Thomas DiGregorio and his wife Sue of Acworth, GA; his two sisters, Patricia Ricci of Pittsfield and Carolyn LeBoeuf and her husband David of Southbridge; his longtime best friend, Donna; his six nieces and nephews, T.J. DiGregorio, Katie DiGregorio, Aaron Ricci, Bethany Kelley and her husband Thomas, Trevor LeBoeuf and Chloe LeBoeuf; his two great niece and nephew, McKinley DiGregorio and Noah Kelley; his aunt, Claire Adams and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Robbie DiGregorio. He was a graduate of Tantasqua Regional High School, Western New England College and a 1989 graduate of the Cleveland Chiropractor College.
Philip opened the Killingly Chiropractic Center in Danielson, CT and later went on to partner with his brother William at Village Family Chiropractic in Sturbridge. Following major back surgery he retired in 2010 and went on to work in sales of security systems. Philip loved sports, especially the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. He was an avid reader. Philip’s true passion was riding motorcycles. He was an accomplished professional motorcycle racer. A four time pro-am winner, Phil made his dreams come true in the final race of his career. He captured the National Lightweight Super Bike Championship at Daytona International Speedway in 1998.
Calling hours for Philip will be held on Thursday, July 14th, from 2:00 to 4:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 4:00pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
